About Anderson Flywheel Mount
Flywheels are a necessary part of many rotating equipment packages – especially ones with reciprocating components. The flywheel can be difficult to install and remove because they generally require heat to create shaft interference.
CCA has developed a way to make flywheel mounting very simple and fast. Using the Anderson Clamp Hub, the wheel is bolted or pinned to the Clamp Hub. The entire assembly can be placed on the shaft in the correct axial position and clamped in place. This eliminates the need to machine an accurate bore in large flywheels. It also removes all heat and hydraulics from the installation and removal process.
